Sonnets
Posted by kenfrog on April 3, 2008
I’ve decided to start writing a sonnet every week. The first one is available here.
Please feel free to link to the new site. I will continue updating this one with personal posts, photos, etc, but the other blog will be my “official” “business” blog, also open to GP friends. Stories on the other blog will be password protected.

The Dummy’s Guide to Cocktail Parties and Hors Doeuvre
Posted by kenfrog on March 19, 2008
So you’ve been invited to a high society cocktail party. Haha…(Okay…like anyone would ever invite YOU, but let’s just pretend.) I can tell you’re extremely nervous about going, because you are acting like you are not nervous. The reason for this nervousness, (a subconscious nervousness that I think you may not even know about), is that your friend (ami) recently went to one of these parties (fete) and departed (partez) in an ambulance. The culprit? Hors Doeuvre; which is French for “out of the question”, “out of the budget”, and “out of the doeuvre”. I don’t know what the last one means. We will return to your friend’s crisis after (après) I briefly explain to you what hors doeuvres are, and how to survive at a cocktail party. (Vive La France)
What are Hors Doeuvre? Read the rest of this entry »
